BEESTON CRICKET CLUB

October 2016

The club has had a mixed year with the first team finishing 4th in Division 3 West  and the second team finishing sixth in Division 4 South West of the Norfolk cricket league.  With the club  encouraging the young players the first team went into every game with at least 3 players under the age of 18 , whilst the second team played between 5 and 6, this bodes well for the clubs future with several other local clubs struggling to survive due to lack of  players.  There has been some good  bowling performances by both old and  young players with the first teams Adie Greef taking 35 wickets (includes three five wicket hauls)  and 16 year old Callum Anderson  taking 26 for the season, 14 year old Liam Walls 5-2-12-5 against Sandringham A, Phil Blackfords 8-3-10-7 against Dereham B, Batting  Freddie Stewards 102, Martin Walls 87, Adie Parke”s 70 not out,
